Image color picker

Pick a pixel and read its HEX, RGB, HSL, and alpha.

About Image color picker

Sample a color from a raster image rather than estimating it by eye. The selected pixel gives a reproducible set of color values for further design work.

Steps, and limitations

How to use it

  1. Open the image.
  2. Select a pixel in the preview.
  3. Read or copy its color values and inspect transparency when present.

Things to know

  • A sampled pixel describes the decoded image, not necessarily the original physical color of a photographed object.
  • Compression, color handling, and transparency can affect the color you see. Check contrast separately when using a sample for text.
