Steps, and limitations

How to use it

  1. Open a browser-playable video.
  2. Scrub to the desired moment or use the small seek controls.
  3. Choose PNG or JPEG and save the currently decoded frame.

Things to know

  • Frame capture uses the browser decoder and does not require the video encoding engine.
  • Browser seeking is not guaranteed to be frame-accurate for every codec. Inspect the displayed frame before saving.
